The Future of the Internet
December 2nd, 2007

Thanks to Ariel Hauter, Executive Director of The Hollywood Hill, for organizing a fantastic Holiday Party yesterday in Venice, featuring a very entertaining (and illuminating) talk by Jonathan Zittrain, who gave a presentation on the topic on The Future of the Internet - And How to Stop It! (the subject of his upcoming Spring 2008 book). Jonathan brought us all into the possible reality where malware slows down our unprecedented access to information. It was nice to see some familiar Barcamp LA faces there too, proving that the Hollywood Hill does its job and then some of bringing groups together that may never have interfaced before. I was in attendance with my very favorite geek, who was compelled by Zittrain’s presentation as well, proof positive that technology issues matter to unprecedented numbers of people.
I for one will be awaiting the release of Zittrain’s book this Spring!
