The future of social networking is an open standards based decentralized networks in the People Agrregator mould, with something like OpenID being the single point of entry. Dave Winer says a centralized system like Facebook or Linked-In will result in explosive unbundling of (decentralized) services.

A federal judge in Los Angeles last week ruled that a computer server’s RAM, or random-access memory, is a tangible document that can be stored and must be turned over in a lawsuit. This could force companies and individuals to store vast amounts of data in case they are involved in a civil suit.
